General Schedule:
School begins each morning at 8:05. Students may arrive as early as 7:45. When the bell rings at 8:05, students go to their classrooms to put away homework, jackets, and lunches. At 8:10, all students attend our daily chapel.
After chapel, each class has a 15-minute opening time. Second through eighth graders have math from 8:45 to 9:45. This allows students to rotate to other classes for math if they excel or struggle at math. Each class has its own rotation of academic subjects after math, including language arts, science, social studies, and Bible.
Morning recess is from 10:10 to 10:30 for kindergarten through fourth grades and 10:30 to 10:50 for fifth through eighth grades.
Kindergartners are dismissed at noon. First through fourth grades have lunch from 12:00 to 12:40, and fifth through eighth grades have lunch from 12:20 to 1:00.
P.E. classes are held in the afternoons.
School is dismissed at 2:45 for 1st through 8th graders. Parents are asked to pick up by 3 p.m.
Special Field Trips:
Overnight field trips are taken by the students beginning in 4th grade. Fourth graders have a week-long trip to Sacramento to study California history. A parent accompanies each student.
In 5th grade, the students take a special overnight trip to Sea World. They also visit the Ronald Reagan Library and take a one-day trip to the Channel Islands.
Sixth graders take a week-long trip to Hume Lake for a Christ-centered Science Camp.
Seventh and eighth graders go to the Creation Research Institute in San Diego, and often also go on a missions trip.
